Lakewood Under Fire
There are ten addresses in Lakewood currently on RTD’s chopping block. Some of these locations are businesses, like Kim Snyder and Galen Foster’s Pro-Tint automotive service and the Jefferson Business Center. Lakewood Mayor Bob Murphy is looking to set up a city fund in order to alleviate some of the damage caused by forcing someone to move their business at RTD’s convenience. The idea being, throwing money at the victim will somehow keep the business in Lakewood. That of course assumes that money is an issue to begin with. And according to Kim and Galen, it has never been about the money. I’m guessing the other six property owners feel similarly.
