Another Tim Gill Plaything Gets His Panties in a Bind

Posted by on Feb 25 2009 | Capitol Crazies, Media, PPC, Purely Personal

Just cleaning out my email when I came across this one.  It sometimes takes me days to get through all of it, I mean so many Viagra ads – and it is my responsibility to read each and every one.  As a sidenote, I’ve spent the kids’ college funds.

So, every now and then I get an email nasty-gram from Tim Gill’s other plaything Bill Menezes, who runs the always-offended-by-the-right-but-never-by-the-left Media Matters – you know, the group that faked offense over my use of the slang “bitchslapped,” until we found they didn’t mind when all their pals on the left did the same thing.

Anywho, Bill sends me some of the goofiest stuff, so I thought I’d share this one.  I was a call-in guest on Peter Boyles’ radio show the other day to talk about our anti-stimulus rally at the Capitol and the goofball who came to it with a small anti-Obama sign with a swastika.  Peter made an off-color joke, calling Diana DeGette, Vagina DeJett.  Here’s what Bill wrote me:

I note you seemed quite comfortable with Boyles’ dialogue here, never raising the idea with him that it might not constitute reasonable discourse for the public airwaves. Why am I not surprised? Good luck defending that choice in public, coming the same week you shared a podium with a swastika-waver.

So let me see if I get this.  As the guest on Pete’s show I am supposed to demand an apology from the guy who invited me on the air.  And if I did, I’m sure Media Matters would reward me with a huge congratulatory press campaign.  So allow me to defend my “choice in public.”  My friend Pete Boyles is free to crack any joke he likes on his own show. If you don’t like his humor, don’t tune in.  Markets work.

And exactly when did I “share a podium with a swastika-waver”? I didn’t know that one goofball showing up in a public crowd was me sharing a podium.  But then again, Media Matters is all about accuracy.

Getting paid to pretend being offended all the time has got to get tiring.
