Independent Thinking: The Human Cost of RTD FasTracks
Is there any recourse for property owners caught in the path of FasTracks? Property rights attorney Robert Hoban, Jessica Corry of the Independence Institute, and the owners of Pro-Tint Windows Kim Snyder and Galen Foster join me to detail RTD’s handling of property owners and abuse of eminent domain. Tune in this Friday night at 8:30 p.m. to KBDI Channel 12, Fridays; repeated the following Tuesday at 5 pm.

Dear Mr Caldera,
I am writing you to thank you for information you provided last October, or November, I’m not sure which…about self publishing on Amazon, for which I was previously unaware. Since then, I have had the impetus to complete my book, and am in the final stages of getting it published. I mention this firstly to thank you for providing such useful information. I have always wanted to be a published author, writing being a passion since the 9th grade, but have always been put off by the vast and uncaring machine of the publishing industry. The time it takes to acquire an agent, as most publishing houses won’t even consider a manuscript without Representation by a known Literary Agent, and even then, making it that far, most manuscripts fall into a massive pile, and writers then receive rejection notice after rejection notice. This has been the traditional avenue for a writer to become established–a painstaking and painful, if not frustrating process that has discouraged far more writers than have become successful. Granted, there are tons of works that should never see the light of day, but i wonder just how many really good writers never made it because of this untimely and exasperating experience.
Nonetheless…I have decided that I don’t need that frustration, Life provides enough as it is. Having said that, as my book is about to go online for sale shortly, I felt it important to let you know that i have mentioned you in the Acknowledgments for the information you provided during your regular broadcasts on KOA, of which I enjoy listening to. I’ve even had the pleasure of speaking with you on air a few times.
Again, thank you for the information you provided, which inspired me to continue working hard and achieve that which I have yearned for since i was a teen, back in the days when it was still a Junior High School. The book is a Fantasy genre novel, titled “Fellowship of Three Knights”, in case you were interested. Keep up the good fight.
Sincerely, Stephen from Aurora.
