To kick off the effort, become a fan of the “Defend Colorado from Obamacare” page of facebook.
I find it interesting that the Independence Institute has continued to be vocal on Obamacare and yet has remained silent in regards to the increased government involvement in the Colorado medical marijuana industry. As a libertarian, I would imagine Mr. Caldara would be fully on board with limiting the amount of legal restrictions put on medical marijuana – especially considering his stance on the expansion of mandates and regulations on our healthcare industry. However, Mr. Caldara and the Independence Institute have avoided one of Colorado’s hottest debates to focus strictly on conservative pet peeves like universal healthcare, climate change and Barack Obama. Why is that? Is the Independence Institute worried it may ostracize it’s conservative audience by supporting the deregulation of medical marijuana? Or does it support more government regulation in this industry – a stance that would contradict the very core beliefs of Caldara and the institute. Unfortunately, we in Colorado don’t know because either Mr. Caldara has been too unwilling or too afraid to discuss it.
It’s time the Independence Institute take a stand on either side of the medical marijuana debate and show how independent it truly is.

I regularly watch Independent Thinking and listen to your radio show whenever I'm driving at night. (I can't get radio shows to play on my computer. I think the dial-up connx is just too slow.) When the petitions are ready I will carry them. Thanks for doing this.
